A careful refurbishment of a compact two-bedroom apartment, shaped by the belief that good design begins with understanding how a home can work better, not simply how it can look.
The layout was reconfigured to improve flow, maximise natural light and create a greater sense of calm within the existing footprint. The original bathroom was re-planned to create two shower rooms, including a new en-suite, while opening the kitchen allowed daylight to travel further into the living space.
Bespoke joinery was designed as an integral part of the architecture, concealing air conditioning, incorporating a fold-down desk within the living room and providing generous storage throughout. Each element was carefully integrated to reduce visual clutter while supporting the practical needs of everyday life.
Working within a restrained material palette, the project demonstrates how thoughtful planning, carefully considered joinery and knowing where to stop can make a compact home feel lighter, more generous and quietly refined.
